In his Last Will & Testament, Abraham Burtman bequeathed funds to establish a Trust for the
charitable purposes including, but not limited to, the relief of poverty and distress, the advancement of education, the advancement of religion and for other charitable and beneficial purposes for individuals, refuges, asylums, hospitals, schools, colleges, libraries, churches, associations and organizations of all kinds that promote education, useful arts or religion, without limitation or discrimination as to race, color, creed or geographical location.
The Abraham Burtman Charity Trust began it's work after Mr. Burtman's passing on March 26, 1946. Today the organization provides support to individuals and organizations through Scholarships and Grants.
